Moai has two main collection arms which collect waste stream oils from the marine and the automotive industries.

IPWIS
Part of this accreditation applies to the recycling of all forms of waste within the Moai Group of companies and it is registered with IPWIS (The Integrated Pollutant and Waste Information System developed by the Department of Environmental Affairs and Development Planning) as a waste processor on a local and national basis.
WASTE MANAGEMENT LICENSE
Licenced as a hazardous waste recycling and treatment facility by the local and national government authorities, ensures that we recycle all waste received at our plant in Athlone, in an environmentally responsible manner. Technoburn also holds a fully compliant and nationally approved integrated waste management plan which shows its commitment to “going green” and environmental awareness.

ROSE FOUNDATION ACCREDITED USED OIL PROCESSOR
As an accredited used oil Processor by the ROSE Foundation Technoburn subscribes to principles of responsible processing and disposal of used lubricating oil.
PETROLEUM PRODUCTS WHOLESALE LICENSE
Technoburn is a wholesale Licence holder in terms of the Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act No. 120 of 1977) issued by the Department of Energy of the Republic of South Africa.
